What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small text files that a website can store in your browser. Local storage is a similar mechanism that keeps small amounts of data on your own device. Both let a site remember information between visits, such as a preference you have set.

Cookies we use today

OhmNexus keeps this to a minimum. We set no analytics cookies at all, no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use them to build an advertising profile of you.

• Essential and functional. Our calculators run entirely in your browser. They may use local storage to remember preferences on your own device, such as your last-used units. This data stays on your device and is not sent to us.
• Hosting and security. Our hosting and content-delivery provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to deliver the site securely and reliably.
• Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure how the site is found and used. It is cookieless: it sets no cookie, writes nothing to your browser storage, and stores no identifier that could follow you across sites or visits. It records a page view with the referring page and general device and browser information, and nothing that identifies you.

Because our analytics sets no cookie and stores no identifier, there is nothing to refuse or delete, and no consent banner is needed for it. If we ever introduce cookies that do require prior consent in your region, such as the EU, UK, or California, we will ask before setting them.

Third-party and advertising cookies

We run no third-party advertising cookies, and our analytics provider sets no cookies of its own. If we introduce advertising in the future, this policy will be updated to describe the specific cookies involved, and, where the law requires it (for example, for visitors in the EU, UK, or California), we will ask for your consent before any non-essential advertising cookies are set.

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block cookies or remove existing ones. Our analytics needs no opt-out because it never identifies you or stores anything in your browser. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the site works, while clearing calculator preferences simply resets them to their defaults.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, particularly before introducing any advertising or analytics. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
