10+ years of electrical design and field experience · BS and MS in Electrical Engineering
Saad Tahir is an electrical engineer and the person behind OhmNexus. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering and has spent more than a decade in electrical design and field work, across power systems, battery and DC systems, and code-governed installation. He started OhmNexus to fix a problem he kept running into on the job: the relationships electrical work depends on were scattered across sources that rarely showed their working. Every calculator and guide on the site is one he designs, writes, and personally reviews, so each result carries the formula, the standards, and the assumptions behind it. The aim is simple: an answer you can trace, not just a number to trust.
Areas of expertise
- Electrical engineering
- Power systems
- Electrical power calculations
- Battery systems
- National Electrical Code (NFPA 70)
- Power factor and power conversion
Background
- More than a decade of electrical design and field experience, spanning power systems, battery and DC systems, and code-governed installation
- Bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering
Editorial and review process
- Every calculator states the equation it applies and the assumptions behind it.
- Results that depend on conventions (voltage, power factor, temperature) follow recognized electrical standards, NEC / NFPA 70 first, then IEC and IEEE, with inputs labelled clearly.
- Each tool ships with at least one solved, worked example you can use to sanity-check your own numbers.
- Every page is written and reviewed by Saad Tahir; corrections are welcome at contact@ohmnexus.com and confirmed issues are fixed quickly.
- The visible "Updated" date is derived from the page's own change history, so it only moves on a genuine content change.
